The A2 Level Philippine Language Proficiency Test is a computer-based assessment designed to evaluate the candidate’s ability to understand and communicate in Filipino at the elementary level. Conducted through a webcam-proctored system, this test offers the flexibility to be taken anytime and anywhere, while maintaining security and integrity through real-time monitoring.
This exam is ideal for learners who have basic knowledge of Filipino and can engage in simple, everyday interactions in familiar contexts.
Aligned with A2 level language proficiency, the test measures the ability to use Filipino in routine situations. The following areas are covered:
Understanding Sentences and Frequently Used Expressions
Describing daily routines and surroundings
Understanding short, simple texts and spoken phrases
Asking and answering questions about personal details
Communicating in Simple and Routine Tasks
Shopping, travel, dining, and local services
Making simple transactions and requests
Giving and receiving simple instructions
Describing Aspects of Background and Environment
Talking about past events, plans, and likes/dislikes
Describing familiar people, places, and experiences
Participating in short conversations in predictable settings
The exam consists of multiple-choice questions focused on listening comprehension, reading comprehension, and practical language use.
Total Duration: 40 Minutes
The exam must be completed in one sitting and within the allotted time.
Candidates must prepare the following to take the exam:
Computer or Laptop (Windows or macOS)
Strong and Stable Internet Connection (minimum 5 Mbps)
Working Webcam (built-in or external) – for remote proctoring
Headset or Earphones – for listening sections
Quiet, Well-Lit Testing Area – with minimal distractions
